Welcome
The surgical care for female urinary incontinence project started in June 2016 and is being undertaken by a research team at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) in collaboration with colleagues at the University of Leicester. The project is funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR).
This research project aims to improve surgical services for women with urinary incontinence in England. It investigates the availability and use of surgical care for urinary incontinence and seeks to identify factors which explain variation in this. We are examining hospital data, patients experiences and expectations, and the perspectives of clinicians to consider how access might be made more equitable and the quality of care improved.
